Terms of Service

These are the general terms that apply when you buy glasses, have an eye test or use any service at Manh Long Optical, and when you use manhlongoptical.com. The detailed payment, delivery, warranty, returns and privacy policies each have their own page, linked from the relevant section.

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to:

• everything you buy, and every service you use, at our store at 147A Le Duan, Cua Nam, Hanoi;
• orders you agree with us by phone, WhatsApp, Zalo or email;
• your use of manhlongoptical.com.

By buying from us or using our services, you agree to these terms and the related policies.

3. Products and services

• Frames: around 1,000 in store, in acetate, flexible plastic, metal and titanium, including wide sizes and higher nose bridges.
• Lenses: single vision, progressive (multifocal), blue-light filtering, photochromic, and prescription sunglass lenses. Manh Long Optical is an official partner of Essilor, ZEISS and Tokai, and also carries lenses from other manufacturers.
• Sunglasses: non-prescription sunglasses, polarized sunglasses (non-prescription only), and prescription sunglasses.
• Eye tests: a free refraction test, whether or not you buy.
• Lenses in your own frame: the fitting is free, the lenses are charged at lens price. We check the frame before accepting it.
• Aftercare: eye tests, prescription re-checks, frame adjustment, cleaning and new nose pads are free for life, including on glasses bought elsewhere.

4. Eye tests and prescriptions

• An eye test in store usually takes 20 to 30 minutes: an automatic refraction, then a trial frame and a check of both eyes working together.
• A refraction test for glasses is not a medical eye examination. If we see anything unusual, or a young child cannot cooperate with the test, we will advise you to see a hospital eye specialist.
• If you bring a prescription from home, we still measure and compare before making your glasses.
• We do not make glasses remotely from a prescription that is more than 12 months old. Come in and we will measure again; the test is always free.

5. Product information and photos

• Colours in photos can look slightly different from the real item, depending on your screen and the lighting.
• Stock turns over with each delivery, and a model on the website may have sold out. Message us first and we will check and put it aside for you.
• Some images on our Lookbook page are AI-generated and are labelled "AI".
• Articles on the website are general information and do not replace advice from an eye doctor.

6. Prices and offers

• Prices are in Vietnamese dong. Website prices are guide prices, usually shown as "from".
• The final price of prescription glasses is set after the eye test, because it depends on your prescription, lens type, lens index and frame.
• Each offer has its own conditions and end date, shown on the Offers page and in store.

7. Orders and made-to-order lenses

An order is agreed once you and our staff have settled the frame, the lens line and features, your eye measurements, the total price and the collection date. There are three kinds of product:

• Ready-made: frames without lenses, non-prescription sunglasses, accessories.
• Prescription lenses cut from stock: most single-vision glasses, usually ready the same day.
• Lenses made to order: progressives (standard about 24 hours; premium Essilor four to five days; premium ZEISS seven to nine days), photochromic lenses in difficult prescriptions, high powers and strong astigmatism. For special prescriptions, we give you a date after checking the prescription.

Made-to-order lenses go into production for your measurements as soon as the order is agreed, so please check the details before you agree.

8. Payment, delivery, warranty and returns

• Payment Policy: pay in store by cash or card, with a full quote before you pay.
• Delivery Policy: collect in store, or free delivery within inner Hanoi, hotels included.
• Warranty Policy: one-for-one exchange within one month for product faults; free aftercare for life.
• Returns Policy: returns within 14 days, with a refund and free return shipping.
• Privacy Policy: what we collect and how we protect it.

9. Your part

• Give us accurate information at the eye test: the glasses you wear now, what you need to see near and far, your screen time, any discomfort.
• Check the order before you agree to it, especially for made-to-order lenses.
• Check your glasses when you receive them and tell us early about any problem.
• Use and look after the glasses as we advise.

10. Our part

• Supply genuine branded lenses in exactly the line and index we quoted.
• Test your eyes carefully and make the glasses to the agreed measurements.
• Give you the price, making time and offer conditions clearly before you pay.
• Honour the payment, delivery, warranty, returns and privacy policies we publish.

11. Website content

The articles, photos and design on manhlongoptical.com belong to Manh Long Optical, except the names and trademarks of lens and frame brands, which belong to their owners. You are welcome to share links to our articles. Please do not copy the content for commercial use without our permission.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms and our policies may be updated when the way we work changes. The update date is shown at the bottom of each page. An order agreed before an update follows the terms in place when it was agreed.

13. Feedback and complaints

If you are not happy, tell us directly by phone, WhatsApp, Zalo, email or at the counter. We will look into it and talk it through with you to find a solution. If we cannot agree, the matter is settled under Vietnamese law.
