Eyeglass frames at 147A Le Duan
How to read the numbers
Every frame here carries three numbers, in millimetres, always in the same order: lens width, bridge width, temple length. A frame marked 53-18-148 has 53 mm lenses, an 18 mm bridge and 148 mm arms.
The glasses you are wearing right now have those three numbers printed on the inside of one arm or across the bridge. Read them before you travel and you will know in seconds whether a frame on this page is your size. If your current pair fits well, look for numbers within a millimetre or two of it. If it has always pinched, go up on the bridge; if it slides, go down.
Nothing here has to be decided from a screen. The sizes are published so you can rule things in or out before you cross the city.
Acetate
Plastic cut from sheet. It carries colour and pattern the way metal cannot, sits a little heavier, and can be warmed and reshaped at the counter if the fit is not right.

Titanium
Metal, and the light one. Titanium springs back instead of bending, does not corrode against skin, and disappears on the face. The trade-off is colour: metal finishes only.

Metal with titanium temples
A metal front with titanium arms. It buys most of the lightness of a full titanium frame while leaving room for shaping, detail and acetate trim across the brow.

What a pair costs
Frame prices are quoted at the counter, because the figure depends on the model and on which lens goes into it. Two numbers are fixed and worth knowing before you arrive:
- A complete pair of single-vision glasses, frame and lenses together, runs from 850,000₫ to 3,500,000₫. That is one number covering everything, not a lens price with the frame added later.
- With Essilor lenses the frame is included at no extra charge, up to 850,000₫, 1,250,000₫ or 1,850,000₫ of frame value depending on which lens you choose. The current terms are on the offers page.
Lens prices on their own — photochromic, progressive, high index — are published in full on the lenses page, along with how long each type takes to make.
Questions people ask about frames
- Do you have frames that fit a larger face?
- Yes. Among the roughly one thousand frames in store there are several sizes, including wider fronts and higher bridges. This is the question visitors from Europe and North America ask most often in an Asian optical shop. Say your usual size at the counter and the wider trays come out first.
- Acetate or titanium?
- Acetate is plastic cut from sheet: it holds strong colour and pattern, sits heavier, and can be reshaped with heat if the fit is off. Titanium is metal: much lighter, springy, and it does not corrode, but the colour range is limited to metal finishes. Neither is better. Choose acetate if you want the frame to be seen, titanium if you would rather forget it is there.
- Can I put new lenses into a frame I already own?
- Usually yes, and you are welcome to bring it in. Staff check the frame first and say plainly if it has gone brittle or worn thin and may not survive a re-fit, before anything is cut.
- Is this everything you have?
- No. Eighteen frames are shown here out of roughly a thousand in the shop. This page is a sample, chosen to cover the three materials and the usual shapes, not a catalogue.
- What happens to the fit after I go home?
- Adjustments, cleaning and new nose pads are free at Manh Long Optical for as long as you own the pair. Once you are home, any optician can adjust the fit; these are standard frames with standard fittings.
